What are you dreaming of?

Updated: Jan 10, 2023

It was about 4:00 am that early spring morning. I could not sleep. I was configuring my thoughts around my dream the dream of writing my book, Dream Achievement. I then thought of a quote I once heard that indicates that dreaming is for sleeping. I laughed because I was not sleeping, but I was dreaming. I was in a state of progressive, conscious dreaming. I realized then that progressive, conscious dreams are the seeds of success.

Progressive dreams are the product of our imagination. They are our thoughts that put our desires into words and drives them into action. They use our creative energy to provide direction and inspiration for our actions. They explore possibilities and are not bound by time, space, or reality. It is, therefore, never too soon or too late to dream. Progressive dreams are thoughts that inspire, motivate, and direct our behavior. They lead us to create entities and opportunities that would not exist without them.

They are powerful streams of thoughts, and as Napoleon Hill points out in the book Think and Grow Rich, “thoughts are things –powerful things.”

The Bible indicates that as a man thinks, so is he (Proverbs 23:7).

Progressive dreams give rise to vision and mission that yield results. They also produce excitement and momentum to fulfill our vision and mission. The constraints of our resulting vision are dependent only on us. So, dream big, act boldly, and forecast meaningful vision. If you want to succeed in your career and life, you must be willing to dream, expand your dream and work diligently.

I ask you to examine your life. What do you see that dictates the result of progressive dreams? If you do not see anything or see dreams lying dormant, decaying away, then get back to the drawing board. Reimagine your life, awaken your desires, put your imaginative thoughts into action. Remember, thoughts are powerful things. Everything that is created was once a thought, a progressive dream which was then put into action. How have your progressive dreams influenced your work or your career? If it hasn’t, why not? How can you utilize your dreams to enhance your work or career?
